Steering Wheel Integration for Arcade Engines
Technical documentation on mapping DirectInput/XInput wrappers to force steering wheel compatibility in non-native arcade titles.
The Reality of Emulated Force Feedback
It is critical to note that arcade sandbox engines do not natively calculate suspension geometry or output true multi-point tire load telemetry. Using memory-hook wrappers will translate your wheelbase inputs, but the resulting force feedback is synthetically generated via basic center-spring resistance and rumble effects. High-torque Direct Drive bases will not provide a competitive advantage in this environment.
